Bringing science closer to the public especially to far flung areas not usually reached by the scientific conferences and seminars, the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST PHL), together with the Philippine Science Heritage Center (PSHC), in cooperation with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Provincial Science and Technology Center in Tagbilaran, Bohol held its Salinlahi Symposium Series in The Metro Centre and Conevention Center on September 20, 2018.

National Scientist, Angel C. Alcala, Academician Jurgenne H. Primavera, Dr. Edsel Maurice Salvaña, Mr. Jeffrey S. Perez, and Engr. Albert G. Mariño made the seminar workshop meaningful because of their discussion about, Philippine Land and Marine Biodiversity, Geological Stability, HIV Global Implications of the Philippine Epidemic and different scholarship offered by DOST-SEI.

PSHC is being managed and maintained by the National Academy of Science and Technology Philippines (NAST PHL) as mandated by Republic Act 9107. NAST PHL is the country’s recognition and advisory body on matters related to science and technology.
