Information Technology Officer I (NASTB-ITO1-4-2017)

The National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) has opening for the following position:
Position Title : Information Technology Officer I

Salary/Salary Grade : ₱49,835.00 per month/SG-19
 
Qualification Requirements:
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job (graduates of BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field are encouraged to apply)
  • Experience : Two (2) years relevant experience (those with experience in Information System Development, Network Security and Management, and Systems Administration are encouraged to apply)
  • Training : Eight (8) hours relevant training
  • Eligibility : Career Service – Professional/Second Level Eligibility

Duties/Position Description:
 
Developer/Programmer
  • Works with various stakeholders to define and design system requirements;
  • Designs, develops, and implements information systems according to specifications;
  • Addresses issues/bugs encountered in existing systems;
  • Conducts end-user training to operate new and existing information systems; and
  • Performs other technical tasks that may be assigned from time to time, at a time and schedule to be agreed upon by both parties;
 
System/Network Administration
  • Works with various stakeholders to define and design system requirements;
  • Responsible for creating Software Design Specification documents;
  • Revises and updates programs and documentation as required;
  • Designs, develops, and implements information systems according to specifications;
  • Addresses issues/bugs encountered in existing systems;
  • Conducts end-user training to operate new and existing information systems;
  • Performs System Administration tasks such as Server installation, configuration, and maintenance;
  • Performs technical support concerning Servers and I.T. infrastructure needs;
  • Performs technical support in resolving Application systems in relation to network, desktop, and helpdesk supervisors;
  • Assists in the evaluation and acquisition of software and hardware components of computers and communication systems for I.T. infrastructure and its applications; and
  • Performs other technical tasks that may be assigned from time to time, at a time and schedule to be agreed upon by both parties.

  2. Fully accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with recent passport-sized picture (CS Form 212, Revised 2017) including the Work Experience Sheet which can be downloaded at www.csc.gov.ph;
  3. Performance rating in the last rating period (certified true copy of the original by the agency HRMO)
  4. Photocopy of the certificate of CSC eligibility/PRC license;
  5. Photocopy of transcript of records and diploma;
  6. Photocopy of certificate of training/s; and
  7. Photocopy of certificate of employment.
