Position/Job Description:
  1. Assist in increasing the visibility of PAGTANAW 2050 among various stakeholders including policy and decision-makers, civil society leaders, and the private sector;
  2. Manage the social media accounts of the project;
  3. Prepare appropriate communication materials to promote the different activities of the PAGTANAW 2050 project;
  4. Design announcements and posts to be uploaded to the PAGTANAW 2050 official website and other social media accounts;
  5. Process and maintain copyright and permission requests;
  6. Maintain records and files of work and revisions;
  7. Draft talking points, blog posts, news, and feature articles primarily for print, radio, TV, and Social Media platforms; and
  8. Provide administrative support to the project and perform other duties assigned from time to time.
Skills/Competencies required:
  • Photo and video editing skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Know how to layout books, brochures and other publications
  • Analytical skills – ability to learn, adapt, and formulate a research issue, including capacity to work in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Interpersonal skills – works well in a team and able to communicate/deal effectively with the policy makers and media
  • Written communication skills – writes well-organized and clear press releases and reports
  • Oral communication skills – able to talk to others, to give and exchange ideas and information clearly and effectively
  • Organizational skills – manages and organizes one to two events at the same time
  • Problem-solving skills – uses good judgement and resolves problems/concerns regarding assigned tasks
  • Relevant education: Bachelor’s Degree in any communication course, preferably in Development Communication, Journalism, Mass Communication or any degree in a research-heavy field

Compensation: ₱30,572.00/month
Period of engagement: 23 January – 30 June 2023 (with possible renewal)
